Grid presses are used to compact waste held by grates and facilitate its disposal. The screen waste poured into the filling inlet is transported by the auger and pushed towards the discharge outlet. Under the influence of the compaction process occurring here, the water filtered out from the waste material is collected in the lower chamber and sent back to the treatment plant. The compacted waste whose water has been drained is loaded through the discharge outlet into containers or similar receptacles.
