Thickeners are used in wastewater treatment plants to increase the density of sludge taken from settling tanks. In this way, they enhance the efficiency of sludge dewatering systems. The main shaft, driven by the actuator unit fixed on the bridge, and the densification rods on the attached pallets provide the necessary mixing. The scrapers connected to the same pallet scrape the settled sludge from the bottom and collect it in the sludge pit located in the center.
