Linear Mechanical Screens used in the pre-treatment units of treatment plants are designed to remove materials of sizes that could damage the plant and equipment from the water. Linear Mechanical Screens, positioned at a 70° angle to the channel, are classified as coarse or fine based on their bar spacing. The rakes, driven by a motor and reducer unit, carry the debris held on the screen bars upward. Thanks to the scraper blade located at the upper section of the grating, the transported waste is scraped off and falls into the container or onto the conveyor.
In Linear Mechanical Screens, which are manufactured in custom dimensions depending on channel width and height, the entire system, including the frame, chain-gear assembly, and grating panels, is manufactured entirely from stainless steel.
In Linear Mechanical Grids that do not have a movable gear system on the underside, the risk of jamming and malfunction is minimized. However, thanks to the torque system that activates in case of any jamming, damage to the equipment is prevented.
