sand and grease trap scraper

Sand and Oil Trap Scrapers are typically used after the screen and before the primary settling or aeration tank. In sand and oil traps, sand and similar materials found in wastewater that could damage pumps and other mechanical components in the system, along with emulsified oil, are retained and removed from the system. Thanks to ventilation, heavy inorganic particles such as sand in the wastewater settle at the bottom of the tank, while lighter substances such as oil and foam collect at the surface.

  • Description

The substances accumulated on the surface are transferred to the oil collection hopper via the surface scraper mounted on the skimmer bridge. The sand removal process is carried out by submersible pumps or bottom scraper pallets attached to the bridge.

The bridge movement is achieved by steel wheels moving on special rail tracks. All steel components in contact with water are manufactured from stainless steel. The bridge can be manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel as standard, or from stainless steel upon request. In the Sand and Oil Trap Scraper, which has its own automation panel, all operations are controlled automatically. The safe operation of the bridge is ensured by the sensors mounted on it.
