Screw Compactors, which aim to compact and transport the waste held by screens, are used in the pre-treatment units of treatment plants. The equipment placed under the grille chutes transports waste towards the discharge chute using a screw conveyor within its structure. Meanwhile, the waste is washed using a solenoid valve and washing system located in the equipment. In the final section, the waste is compacted by means of a decreasing pitch and diameter, and is removed from the system in a volumetrically reduced form. The washed and pressed screen waste is discharged through the discharge chute, while the effluent exiting the system is returned to the treatment plant.
